The song, “Bird is the Word”, is either a frustratingly annoying song or a crowd pleaser. Because one thing is for certain: The likes of Family Guy on thru to Stanley Kubrick have inserted it into their media. And with the recent announcement of the “word of the decade” being google, it should come as no surprise how a well-integrated company name like Google will slowly blend into the human conscience.
The fact that the word google was added to the Oxford Dictionary in June of 2006 a mere 8 years into the company’s existence demonstrates how famous one word can be. The word itself is curious and catchy and lets everyone unknowingly use it as a verb when talking about how they managed to shave a few seconds of their destination. Curiosity, along with the prodigal minds behind it, led millions of people to follow and continue to do so as I type this. In fact, the time it takes me to even think of the word google, another million people have already landed on their page.
The importance of the online word is crucial to anyone’s business model. If you fail to properly position the keywords on the webpage, the visiting hours of your website may take a nose dive into obscurity. Research your keywords and see which strategy creates a clicking explosion on your webpage. Every product can be scripturally marketed from all angles. As pedestrian as that may sound, there is always an avenue you have yet to come across when trying to associate your word convincingly to the audience.
From an SEO standpoint, your word is your bond between helping a product leave the ground floor and touch down at the consumer doorstep. If your word is all sorts of annoying, witty, charming, delectable, etc.—that means you’re getting somewhere.
