Getting Organized: Hello, NeatDesk

By: Jennifer Hoyt - Posted April 7th, 2010

When you network for a living you tend to pick up quite a few business cards. And I have to admit that I love them. Especially when they are done right — good weight, eye catching, maybe an interesting shape. I don’t know what it is but there is something about those pretty little ads that I adore. I have stacks of them. All neatly rubber-banded in groups related to where I met the person.

We recently expanded our office space and I am now on my third desk at Adcuda. While I love my new digs, this desk lacks the necessary drawer space (or any drawers for that matter) needed to house my collection. Enter NeatDesk™

NeatDesk is pretty much my new favorite organizational tool. It’s a high-speed desktop scanner and digital filing system that can scan a bunch of your receipts, business cards and documents all at once. The included NeatWorks software identifies and extracts important data and automatically organizes it for you. You can save your digital output as a JPEG or PDF. Documents can also be sent to Outlook, Excel, Quicken and Highrise, which is the CRM that we use. NeatDesk is available for Mac or PC.

Do you use NeatDesk? If not, what other tools do you use to keep your desk organized?
